Gardening Australia

Picture
Gardening Australia has lots of episodes online at http://www.abc.net.au/gardening/video/download.htm. Search the contents for stories about vegetable gardens, native plants, worm farms, companion plants or organic gardening, or browse their plant lists. There are also have a vegetable planting guide and some lovely desktop pictures you can download legally for free. They have no labels (check the plant lists), but would make excellent legal photographs for your presentation.

Burke's Backyard Factsheets

Picture
Burke's Backyard might be off air, but there are lots of fabulous garden factsheets and (native) animal factsheets you can use. They describe each plant and its needs in everyday language, and give an estimate of it's cost. Add about 25% to the price because prices have gone up since the factsheets were written.

Backyard Blitz

Picture
Backyard Blitz has an excellent archive of factsheets which show all the steps to planning a garden, including garden plans and before and after shots. Remember that the school garden will be lots simpler than these because our budget is much smaller, but enjoy this excellent source of ideas.
